Who Will Save This Ridiculous World: Episodes in Political Absurdity

Coloring, you might say, is for children. At one point in your life, you most likely found great joy in the activity of scribbling waxy colors into empty line drawings. Perhaps you were so brave or careless as to breach the lines and place your marks out in no man’s land beyond the well-defined shapes. Or maybe you were of the sort that liked to clutch a dozen crayons in your fist and assault the page with a senseless and savage blend of colors. Oh, how glorious were the days of such carefree leisure! You took those lifeless black and white picture skeletons and put your mind into them. You gave Batman an orange cape. Mickey Mouse you transformed into an obscene vaudeville clown with a mess of red lips. And under your unique hand, a happy little farmhouse became a swirling psychedelic dream factory…

But now, you see things as they are. You have grown out of your need to pretend and to distort the world around you. Very well – it is only natural. But in our evolution into practicality, we often lose something else – our ability to see beyond the black and white. A wise man once explained to us the simplicity of his company’s black and white label, saying that to understand the elegance you must be able to see the broad spectrum it implies.

Here we give you the opportunity to recall that great world of color.

We will provide you with only two options – two color schemes from which to choose. They are simple, and you may find them restricting. But perhaps, with a little practice, you will discover the great many options at your disposal with just three sticks of color: either Red, White, and Blue – for their inherent cultural significance – OR Pink, Green, and Shiny – for their inherent cultural insignificance. Take your pick.
